Day 15 Serious mountain trekking

It got it bit serious today. We headed up slope from our guesthouse nice and early, full of vigour and enthusiasm.  The track gradually got steeper, narrower and rougher and the wind got stronger. And the pace got slower.  Towards the top of the ridge (2254m) the track traversed cliffs and the wild howled. It was very exposed and a little scary.  I'm afraid the photos don't really show the scale and exposure but we felt like true mountaineers for a few hours.

The good news is we all got through unscathed to our guesthouse which served up the most beautiful fresh trout I have ever tasted. Apparently the mushroom pasta was pretty good too. All the produce was freshly harvested from the guesthouse gardens and ponds.  Very, very good.

We also saw some more marmots today, one of which allowed me to get within 3 or 4m from him. Photos attached.
