Day 2

Woke a little stiff and sore to another glorious day and headed off down the Moll Valley. Today the trail was mostly through alpine rural landscapes, through private property, past farms and very small villages. The trail often ran very close to houses and sheds and on 2 occasions we actually walked under barns. Consequently we had an almost intimate exposure to rural alpine life which in many ways doesn't seem to have changed much over the centuries.
There is fast flowing crystal clear water everywhere which is often harnessed to provide power to run old mills. Photos attached. There is also a photo of a hay drying rack. At first we thought they were designed to stop avalanches!
