Day 21 Faaker See

Although relatively long at 21km, there was only one, short, steep section today and so it was a fairly comfortable days walking.

We started in Velden and were amazed to see all the exotic supercars we had seen yesterday had been left in the streets overnight. In one hotel car park fronting the street that had spaces for 7 cars, I counted 4 Porsches, 2 Ferraris and an Aston Martin.
My pick: a bright yellow Ferrari. Photos attached.

In stark contrast, note the tiny outboard motors on relatively large boats moared along the lakes edge. We think they were electric so as to minimise pollution.

Back to the walking. We left Velden, followed the River Drau,  a major tributary to the Danube, then walked around the edge of Faaker See, a beautiful lake with turquoise water. Then it was uphill, past Finkenstein Castle,  which we will visit tomorrow, and on up to our guesthouse which overlooks the castle.
