Rest day Bovec

Well, the European summer  holidays have started. Up until today there have been very few other visitors where we have been, with the exception of Velden. But Bovec is busy today. The main summer activities/attractions are white water rafting, kayaking, fishing, cycling, walking and motorbike riding. There is also a high school band camp in town and they have set up a large stage in the town square providing the coffee and beer drinkers with live full orchestral music. Pretty good too.

Those of you who know us best will find this hard to believe, but after walking 414.8km, most of it very steep hills and mountains, both Annie and I appear to be developing calf muscles. I know, I know, it's hard to believe (and there are no photographic images available) but we can certainly feel them, particularly on the first hill climb each day.
